A picture of my puppy. Goes along with post: Wjy You Should Take Your Puppy to Bark at the Ballpark

I recently just took my puppy to Bark at the Park. (And yes, that cutie in the picture is him.) And we had so much fun! Bark in the Park is a day at baseball stadiums where you can bring your dog. If there’s a ballpark close enough, I highly recommend taking your dog, puppies especially. Make sure you check out their rules before you head up, though. Some ballparks don’t allow dogs under six months of age in.

You might ask why I’m recommending this for puppies. Well, as a puppy, it’s highly important that you expose them to certain things, including other dogs and strangers. Bark in the Park is a perfect place to do that. There’s dogs, people, food, and loud noises. Great place for socializing your dog.

Another reason is that you will have people gushing over how cute your puppy is, and what owner doesn’t love to hear “He’s the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen!” We all like to show off our puppies, because to you it’s the best dog ever.

Finally, it’s great bonding time with your pooch. You two are hanging out, you’re not busy with work or anything else. You’re spending all day together, doing something you normally don’t. It’s a great place to spend some time with your pup.

Taking your pup to Bark in the Park is something I recommend, it’s fun and has many benefits for a growing pup! But make sure you’re prepared before you head out! Here’s a list of things you should take with you to the game:

Water and a water bowl. There is typically dog bowls with water scattered around, but it’s best to bring your own.

Small mist fan. Chances are it’ll be a hot day and you’ll want to keep your dog cool. Bring a mist fan to cool your pup down.

Toys. Puppies can get bored easy, you’ll want to keep them entertained for the three hour game.

Poop bags. Don’t be the person who leaves your dog’s poop lying around. Pick up after him.

Treats. It’s easier to get your dog to behave when you reward them for doing what you want. Also you can use them to get your pup to look at you while you take their picture!

Now that you know what to take, go have some fun with your pooch!
