Top Essentials to Pack for the Beach

One of my favorite destinations is the beach. I love the weather, the water, the sand, and all the charm of the beachside. The only downside is deciding what to bring, as I’m sure most of you know. So here I’ve compiled a list of my top most important things to bring to the beach.

· Your swimsuits. Bring more than one so you can show off your style! A swimsuit is a must for the beach, for tanning, and for swimming. And who doesn’t love showing off their beach bod?

· A towel. You don’t want to be dripping all over your condo or get your clothes all wet. Also you can lay on it to tan.

· A beach chair. You could bring a lawn chair, but I don’t like them for the beach. Beach chairs are lower, and they recline for tanning.

· Suntan lotion. You’re gonna want a nice bronze to show off when you get home, and the easiest way to achieve that is with suntan lotion.

· Sunscreen. You want to be tan, not burnt. Sunscreen is a must to protect your skin from burning. And you from pain.

· Some sort of backyard game, like cornhole or ladderball. Don’t want to tan or swim? Set up a game! Trust me, it’s even better at the beach than at home.

· A canopy. Sometimes you might want some shade, and there aren’t any trees on the beach. I always bring one to retreat back into and maybe take a nap, too.

· A cooler with drinks. You can bring water, pop, or alcohol. I recommend water to keep yourself hydrated since it will be hot.

· A book. I like to curl up with a good book and relax. There’s no better background sound than the crashing of the waves.

· A speaker. If you’re going with a big group and plan on partying, or if it’s just you, you’ll want some music, and you’ll want it loud.

· Sand toys. There’s a child in all of us, and every kid wants to build sandcastles. So let loose and let your inner child come out!

· Boogey board and skim board. Waves high? Ride them with a boogey board or stay in the shallows and use a skim board.

· A snorkel and googles. The water contains plenty to see, and they may even have a reef to swim at!

Now you know what to bring, so pack it all up and head to the beach this summer! Have fun!
